The Government IntraNet System (GINS) has been implemented in 2005 with the intention of providing centralised Internet and access to horizontal systems e.g. Registry System, Electronic Attendance System and Treasury Accounting System among others via the Government Online Centre (GOC).

GINS infrastructure has evolved over time from ATM, Layer 2, Layer 3 and SD-WAN technology. The CCU is currently managing and monitoring over 427 sites.

CCU normally intervenes immediately during office hours or next working day when any complaint is reported. The matter is directed to the supplier if required to resolve any issue as per the Framework Agreement for GINS.
